Miami Jewish Health Systems® celebrates 73 years of proudly serving the South Florida community with high quality, innovative care in 2013.

Today, Miami Jewish Health Systems serves more than 10,000 patients, participants and residents annually, through more than a dozen varied healthcare programs and services. Miami Jewish Health Systems has grown to today’s comprehensive system with six sites across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Our vision – to be the innovative leader in healthcare, promoting longer, healthier, more enriched lives – drives our commitment to pursue the very highest quality care for those we are entrusted to serve.

During the past year, Miami Jewish Health Systems achieved significant milestones in our service to the community and development as an organization. Our programs continue to grow in success and positively impact our community.

Our services include Centers of Excellence in rehabilitation, medical care and research, including the Rosomoff Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center, Brucker Biofeedback and Stein Innovation & Research Institute. Through these programs, we are able to provide the highest quality of healthcare for seniors.

Miami Jewish Health Systems continues to be on the cutting edge of Alzheimer’s research. Our newest program, Girsh Memory Enrichment Institute, is a one-of-a-kind, comprehensive program for individuals with cognitive impairment and their caregivers, which is designed to delay the progression of memory disorders.

Our residential living facilities provide safe assisted and independent living. This includes market-rate and low-income housing. Recent renovations to Irving Cypen Tower and Hazel Cypen Tower have helped create fresh, inviting spaces for our residents. We often hear from families that say the years at Miami Jewish have been the best chapters in their parents’ lives.

You will probably find it surprising that, for an organization that began as a nursing home, we actually spend much of our time keeping people out of nursing homes. Two-thirds of our program participants live at home, reflecting the preference of the lifestyles of today and tomorrow. Our community programs make it possible for thousands of seniors to remain at home in a safe, supervised way. For those who do opt to live in our nursing facilities, we utilize a patient-centric approach, offering specialized care to seniors at any level of function.

The board and management of Miami Jewish Health Systems is committed to meeting our mission to offer compassionate, quality healthcare to those in need. We continually explore opportunities for growth, while pursuing innovative paths to achieve the breakthroughs that help our seniors live long, healthy, enriched lives.
